Hello from Thailand!

Hi everyone!

It's Linda here (to those of you that don't know me I am Rachie's mum...). Rachie has been in touch a few times by text message and we agreed it would be good to post her texts on here so that you can all hear how she is getting on.

There won't be any pictures from Thailand for now which is a shame - I did try googling some of the things she mentioned but decided against posting them in case anyone of a nervous disposition is reading this! Intead here is a lovely pic of Rachie and Ceri at the party we held for them this time last week :-)

So here we go - despatches via SMS from Rachie in Bangkok ...

"First night down! We went for a Thai meal in the city. Saw lots of lady boys and rode in a Tuk Tuk! had 7 hours sleep in 72 hours and off out to the reclining Buddah now!"

"We have just got back from Buddah tour, heat like I've never felt before!sooo boiling but not sunny! me ceri and 2 of girls stopped to get crisps and are now reading OK before we board 13.5 hour sleeper train! Make sure to txt x factor results..."

"Just boarded our so called luxury train, it is the worst train I've ever seen haha!! We have nearly finished Sunday... although a looong night ahead as the train is bumpy, packed and very hot, fun, fun, fun!"

And finally... "Very strange experience... but a new one none the less!"

I hope that gives you all a little taste of Rachie's big adventure so far. Do leave your comments so that she has lots to read when she gets to an internet cafe!
